One day, a calf went through a virgin forest to return to its pasture. Animal being irrational, opened a path winding, curvy, up and down hills.
The next day, a dog passing by used the same trail through the forest. Next came a sheep, a herd leader, who, seeing the open space and made his comrades to follow through there.
Later, men began using this path: coming and going, turned to the right, left, descended, deviating from obstacles, complaining and cursing, with good reason. But did nothing to create a new alternative.
After much use, the trail eventually become a long road where the poor animals are tired under heavy loads, forced to travel three hours a distance that could have been won in thirty minutes, if they had not followed the path opened by calf.
Many years passed and the road became the main street of a village and then in the main street of a city. Everyone complained about traffic, because it was the worst possible way.
Meanwhile, the wise old wood laughed, seeing that men tend to follow like blind the path is already open, without asking ever if it is the best choice.
